This is achieved by the ''bypass'' pipe between the manifold and the water pump. The bypass has the added function of moving the block-heated water past the thermostat which will open if necessary.

By-pass on pump 1" 1966 intake 1/2" NPT - Cannot find a nipple to neatly adapt the 1/2" to 3/4" that has a 1" outer diameter. I settled for a 1/2" threads into 1/2 to 3/4 adapter then a nipple off a newer MoPar intake which is 1" OD.
