When I unscrewed it from the cylinder, as well as the junction block, NO O-ring was on either side. When I took it to a local Hose and Hydraulic shop, the guy said most likely it was supposed to have one on each end.

I would get either ORFS or JIC (which ever matches the hose ends your tractor uses) . I would NOT buy NPT. Make sure you get the correct O-ring for the SAE/ORB fitting that is leaking.
